How many thoughts pass through our minds every day, encountering the multitude of forms that exist around us? How do these forms complement our mental imagery? How do we truly perceive them? If we remove their characteristics, will they remain imprinted in our minds in the same way?

The collective exhibition Φorms in our minds which is hosted at Two Thirds Project Space, presents a dialogue between four artists, each sharing their own approaches to the concept of form. Alex Bourlis, Elvis Sanxhaku, Nagia Siouli and Liza Stoitsi, with their distinct styles, raise questions and unveil forms that move, change, intensely reflect their emotions, intertwine with other forms, and become an integral part of space, often creating a sense of the unreal and the dreamlike.

The artworks function as visual fields of the artists’ thoughts as they explore the diverse questions that arise. Creating shapes without boundaries and specific characteristics, they all focus on the idea of form that can be impersonal, incorporeal, uncanny, yet still establishing relationships, engaging in conversation, and always being part of a story.

Πόσες σκέψεις περνούν καθημερινά από το μυαλό μας αντικρύζοντας την πληθώρα των μορφών που υπάρχουν δίπλα μας; Με ποιο τρόπο συμπληρώνουν τις εικόνες μας; Πώς πραγματικά τις αντιλαμβανόμαστε; Αν αφαιρέσουμε τα χαρακτηριστικά τους, θα παραμείνουν με τον ίδιο τρόπο εντυπωμένες στο μυαλό μας;

Η ομαδική έκθεση Φorms in our minds στο Two Thirds Project Space παρουσιάζει έναν διάλογο με έργα τεσσάρων εικαστικών, οι οποίοι αφηγούνται τις δικές τους προσεγγίσεις στην έννοια της μορφής. Ο Alex Bourlis, ο Elvis Sanxhaku, η Nagia Siouli και η Liza Stoitsi, με τη δική τους ξεχωριστή γραφή, θέτουν ερωτήματα και παρουσιάζουν τις μορφές να κινούνται, να αλλάζουν, να αντανακλούν με ένταση τα συναισθήματά τους, να ανακατεύονται με άλλες μορφές και να γίνονται αναπόσπαστο κομμάτι του χώρου, δημιουργώντας πολλές φορές την αίσθηση του μη πραγματικού και του ονείρου.

Τα έργα λειτουργούν ως οπτικά πεδία της σκέψης των εικαστικών και οι ίδιοι εξερευνούν με ποικιλομορφία τα ερωτήματα που προκύπτουν. Δημιουργώντας σχήματα χωρίς όρια και συγκεκριμένα χαρακτηριστικά, όλοι μαζί επικεντρώνονται στην ιδέα της μορφής που μπορεί να είναι απρόσωπη, ασώματη, ανοίκεια, αλλά παρόλα αυτά δημιουργεί σχέσεις, συνομιλεί και αποτελεί πάντα το μέρος μιας ιστορίας.
