''Containing surfaces at Meme”: Ομαδική εικαστική έκθεση στον χώρο MEME της οδού Κεραμεικού.

Μια
επιφάνεια εμπεριέχει την ύπαρξη ενός σώματος ή κάποιου είδους χώρο. Συχνά
είμαστε αφοσιωμένοι στο να απομακρύνουμε την επιφάνεια, ώστε να δούμε τι
περιέχει το αντικείμενο. Όμως, συχνά, βρισκόμαστε σε μια κατάσταση όπου η
επιφάνεια είναι η μόνη διαθέσιμη σε εμάς πληροφορία. Σημαίνει αυτό πως δεν έχουμε καμιά γνώση για το αντικείμενο
που παρακολουθούμε;

Από τις 31.01 έως τις 03.02.2019 η έκθεση ”Containing surfaces at Meme” θα βρίσκεται
στην οδό Κεραμικού 28 στην Αθήνα. Η
έκθεση είναι αποτέλεσμα 13 φοιτητών τέχνης, οι οποίοι συλλογικά εξετάζουν και
συζητούν τις προαναφερθείσες ερωτήσεις. Θα υπάρχουν installations, πίνακες και performances. Όλοι είστε ευπρόσδεκτοι στα εγκαίνια την Πέμπτη
31.01.19 στις 19.00. Η έκθεση θα παραμείνει ανοιχτή έως τις 03.02.19. Θα
υπάρχουν performances και αναγνώσεις την βραδιά των εγκαινίων, την Πέμπτη, καθώς και τη
τελευταία μέρα, Κυριακή.

A surface implies the existence of the
body or some sort of space. We often seem to be preoccupied with getting rid of
the surface to get an insight into what the object contains. But often enough
we happen to be in a situation where the surface is the only information
available to us. Does that mean we have no knowledge of the observed object?

There will be an exhibtion titled
“Containing Surfaces” at Meme, Keramikou 28, Athens, from 31.01 until
03.02.2019. The exhibtion is a result of 13 art students collectively examining
and discussing the aforementioned questions. There will be installations,
paintings and performances. All are invited to please join us for the opening
on Thursday, 31.01.19, at 19:00. The exhibition will remain open until until
03.02.19. There will be performances and readings on the opening night,
Thursday, and on the closing day, Sunday.

Thursday 19:00- 22:00, Friday & Saturday 17-21:00 and Sunday 15-20:00.
